The Ryoga round baitcasting reel has become a staple on the fresh and saltwater scene and Daiwa has raised the standard to state of the art with the all new Ryoga. The aluminum alloy machine-cut frame and side plates are the footing upon which the technology is built. The G1 DURALUMIN spool is 1.3 times stronger than standard aircraft grade aluminum, and 2 times stronger than magnesium. With precision machining, this dramatically reduces the weight of the spool while maintaining proper strength without drilling holes into the spool. Because the pinion rides it’s own separate shaft, the spool spins freely, unhampered by gear train friction when casting.?The MAGFORCE Z braking system allows the spool to start faster and spin longer, increasing casting distance while virtually eliminating backlashes. The new HYPER MESH GEARING SYSTEM increases gear contact up to 50% more and the ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT DRAG (UTD) provides lasting stopping power.

A MAGSEALED bearing prevent water and dirt intrusion, keeping the reel functioning flawlessly, longer. A 90MM SWEPT HANDLE moves the handle knobs closer to the rod’s centerline, reducing wobble of the rod and reel in your hand as you crank. The result is a state of the art reel worthy of the Ryoga name.
